Okay, it isn't really a city, but it might as well be. Isolated from Phoenix by South Mountain, and from Tempe and Chandler by I-10, this little annex is a wonderful area to explore. It has previously been referred to as the world's largest cul-de-sac, but this running joke will no longer apply once the Loop 202 freeway is completed.

Recreational activities in the area are plentiful

South Mountain Park is a destination for hiking, cycling, and horseback riding.

There are three golf courses in the area including Club WestFoothills Golf Club, and Ahwatukee Country Club.

Pecos Community Center features a skate park, swimming pool, dog park, athletic fields, a gymnasium, fitness center, game room, classes, and more!

The real estate market is strong

The average sold price for first quarter of this year compared to first quarter last year rose 5.5%.

Average days on market dropped 14%.
