Flashlight Tours at Desert Botanical Garden

Explore the garden at night with a flashlight to catch sight of night-blooming plants and nocturnal animals! Located at 1201 N. Galvin Parkway, Phoenix, from May 26  to September 1, 2018. Every Saturday from 7:00 pm to 9:30 pm.

Night Light Tours at Taliesin West

Come see architect Frank Lloyd Wright's winter home during a magical evening tour! His renowned fire breathing dragon will also be there! Located at The Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation, 12345 N. Taliesin Drive, Scottsdale, every Friday. The price is $40, with times at 6:30, 7, and 7:15 pm.

 

June:

 

Superhero Prowl and Play

Located at the Phoenix Zoo, this party will have waterslides, superhero meet and greets, agility training, a DJ dance party, and animal discoveries. On June 9, 2018 at 455 N. Galvin Parkway, Phoenix, from 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm.

 

BLUSH International Rosé Festival

This new event takes place on National Rosé Day, June 9th, at The Clayton House in Old Town Scottsdale. Featuring 100 Rosé wines from all over the world, live music, unlimited tastings, a Pink Boutique, and bites made by local award-winning chefs, this festival promises to be tons of fun! Three sessions are available to choose from: Brunch & Bubbles from 11 am - 2 pm, the Tapas Experience from 3 - 6 pm, and Eat, Drink & Rosé from 7 - 10 pm. July:

 

4th of July Tempe Town Lake Festival

This annual fireworks show will be launched with music from the Mill Avenue Bridge. The Family Fun Fest includes rides, rock climbing walls, and a food court with everything from BBQ to snow cones. Located at Tempe Beach Park, 620 North Mill Avenue, Tempe. Gates open at 5:00 pm, price is $5 general admission, $30-$60 for VIP Garden, and free for children 12 and under.

 

Fabulous Phoenix Fourth

This non-alcoholic, family-oriented festival attracts 100,000-plus participants every year and features one of the largest fireworks displays in the Southwest. There will be interactive exhibits,   festival-style food and beverage, two stages featuring local entertainers, a classic car display,  rides and inflatables, arts and crafts, and a Kids' World that includes a water spray zone (watch out parents!). This event is located at Steele Indian School Park, 300 East Indian School Road, Phoenix, from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm.

 

Local First Arizona’s Independents Week

This week long event encourages consumers to go local by supporting as many locally-owned and independent businesses as possible. Real, Wild & Woody Beer Festival

Here you will find 50 of the Southwest’s best craft brewers touting seasonal specials, fresh flavors, and specialty casks samples. Complementing snacks for festival-goers will be provided by some of the region’s top restaurants who are partnering up with Real, Wild & Woody for the event. Located at the Phoenix Convention Center South Building, 33 S 3rd St Phoenix, the date is currently TBD. The price is $57 and includes 20 beer sampling tickets and small bites from local restaurants and breweries.

 

August:

 

In the Company of Women

In alignment with the #MeToo movement and increasing awareness of gender equality across all contexts (museums included) Phoenix Art Museum will feature 50 works created exclusively by women. This exhibition encourages visitors to look at these iconic works in a new way in order to question and transform our perspective on what we consider great art and why. Taking place at the Phoenix Art Museum, 1625 N. Central Ave. in Phoenix, from July 7 to August 12, 2018 every day but Monday.

 

Prowl and Pray: Magical  Midsummer Dream

Located at the Phoenix Zoo, this Prowl and Pray evening will be a magical night filled with fairies, wizards, and fantastic beasts! Included are fantasy-themed water slides, meet and greets with Tinkerbell, Harry Potter and more, jugglers, illusionists, and roaming magicians! This event takes place at 455 N. Galvin Parkway Phoenix, AZ on August 4, 2018 from 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm.
